Cornwall Sports Shops

Cornwall is able to boast several native sports including Cornish wrestling and Cornish hurling – although these have all but died out now and are played only rarely at events like the Beating of the Bounds in Bodmin. Cornwall sports shops cater well for the strong contingent of rugby and football fans - but it’s surf shops that rule the roost here - thanks to the superb climate and coastline that make places like Newquay and Watergate Bay havens for surfers from all over the country. There must be more surf shops located here than anywhere else in the UK – although many of these shops don’t just stock the obligatory surf boards and wetsuits – many have also expanded their selection to offer products for kite surfing, waterskiing and scuba diving.

You won’t struggle to find sports clothing here either – although you’ll have more luck tracking down surf and lifestyle brands such as Rip Curl or White Stuff than you will Nike or Adidas.
